COMMERCE — Commerce football halted a two-game losing skid with a 27-14 defeat of Athens Christian on Friday in Commerce.
Will Thomas paced the Tigers (3-2, 2-1 Region 8-A) with 178 yards rushing and a touchdown on 20 carries.
Commerce's J'Varius Wood also had an 11-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and a 24-yard run in the third quarter to highlight a nine-carry, 90-yard performance.
The Tigers will play host to Prince Avenue Christian next week.
