ATHENS - Two women were killed in a motorcycle accident in Athens Thursday, one of whom was a Jefferson woman.
25-year-old Elizabeth Scarboro of Athens and 29-year-old Courtney Robinson of Jefferson were killed when their motorcycle collided with a Nissan Rogue on Jefferson River Road, according to the Jackson Herald.
The paper reports 20-year-old Dominique Green of Athens was turning left onto the road when her car struck the motorcycle. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The Herald reports Scarboro and Robinson died at the scene.
Athens-Clarke County Police are still investigating.
