LOGANVILLE — Gainesville swept a pair of non-area matches Thursday in girls volleyball action.
The Lady Red Elephants (24-7) topped host Loganville 25-11, 25-11 and then knocked off Rockdale County 25-12, 25-19.
Sydney King had 29 digs, three aces, and six assists and Tanai Watson had 15 kills, four digs, and one block to lead Gainesville. Morgan Frazier had two kills one block and one dig apiece, Tangi Miller added three kills and a dig, Bessie Winston had thre kills, and Sally Callahan had three aces and six digs for the Lady Red Elephants.
Cori Griffith added four kills and one dig, Abby Alexander had six kills and three blocks, Anna Wylie added two blocks, and Savannah Roys had six kills, 34 assists, and 16 digs for Gainesville.
Gainesville resumes region play next Tuesday in a tri-match with Apalachee and host Winder-Barrow.
