JEFFERSON — Bailey Fisher ran for one touchdown and threw for another to lead Rabun County to a 21-0 victory over Jackson County Friday night.
Fisher finished 14-of-21 for 218 yards passing and added 46 yards rushing to pace the Wildcats.
The game was much closer than the final score with the Wildcats (3-1) leading just 7-0 going into the fourth quarter on an 11-yard touchdown run by Fisher midway through the second quarter.
Jackson County (2-1) had two first half drives stopped on interceptions and also missed a field goal in the first quarter.
Rabun County extended the lead with a 9-yard touchdown run by Eli Gibson with just under nine minutes left. The Wildcats sealed the win when Fisher connecetd with Jack Johnson on a 47-yard touchdown pass with 57 seconds left in the game.
The Panthers' Malik Tuck was held to just 54 yards on carries. Caleb Matthews was just 7-for-23 for 112 yards passing and two interceptions for Jackson County.
Rabun County will open its Region 8-AA schedule next week traveling to Riverside Military Academy. Jacskon County plays host to East Hall in the Panthers final non-region contest before opening their Region 8-AAA schedule on the road at arch-rival Jefferson.
