CLEVELAND - A former principal in the Hall County School System who went on to serve as White County Schools Supt., Albert Taylor, has died.
Taylor, 84, died Tuesday.
His career in education spanned over many years beginning with the White County School System where he was a teacher and counselor. Later, he would serve and Dean of Students at Truett McConnell College in Cleveland. Taylor served the Hall County School System as principal of Riverbend Elementary School and McEver Elementary School as well as the positions of Transportation Director and Comptroller. He later retired as Superintendent for the White County School System.
He was the founder of Hallco Community Credit Union and an active member of the Gideons and the Chattahoochee Upper Soil Conservation Service as well the Retired Educators of White County, the White County Library Board and was a lifetime member of the White County Historical Society.
The funeral will be Friday at 12:00 at the Loudsville United Methodist Church Campground. Private interment services will follow.
