CLARKESVILLE — The Habersham County Sheriff's Office has released a sketch of a man they say is responsible for a home invasion on B.C. Grant Road in the Alto area last week.
Sgt. Richard Stein of the HCSO Special Victims Unit says the man was described by a teenage girl who was home at the time of the incident.
The incident happened just before 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, in the 1700 block of B.C. Grant Road, which is in the area between Charley Davis Road and Duncan Bridge Road in Alto.
The suspect is described as a tall, skinny, white male with short reddish blonde hair and some facial stubble.
He had a pistol in his waistband, Stein said.
Stein said the victim was scared and ran to a neighbor's house. The man gave chase, grabbing the back of her shirt, but she was able to get away.
The man then got into a black four-door “police style” vehicle which had dark tinted windows and left heading south on B.C. Grant Road. The victim stated she has seen the vehicle prior driving slow up and down the road prior to the incident.
The incident remains under investigation by Special Victim’s Unit Sgt. Richard Stein and Investigator Heidi Lass.
