GAINESVILLE - A 3-year-old boy who was abducted Thursday night at a Gainesville park has been located by authorities. Investigator's believe his mother's boyfriend is the suspect.
Sgt. Kevin Holbrook with the Gainesville Police Department said the child, identified as Andy Aleman, was found safely just after 10:00 p.m. Thursday.
Holbrook said the evening long investigation led authorities to a house on Catalina Drive, where the boy was found. The suspect fled as officers arrived, according to Holbrook.
"That's information that the investigators are following up on to determine exactly whose residence that was, how he made it to that residence," Holbook said.
Aleman was taken from Longwood Park on Pearl Nix Parkway around 7:00 p.m. Holbrook said the initial call involved an escalating argument between the boy's mother and her boyfriend. That's when authorities believe the boyfriend left on foot with the boy.

The search continued Friday for the suspect. Holbrook said investigators believe they know who he is.
"We are working to determine that we have the individual's correct name (and) identity before that information is released," Holbrook added.
Holbrook said numerous local, state and federal agencies worked the case Thursday night, including the Georgia State Patrol Aviation Division, Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the Hall County Sheriff's Office.

Part of the investigation, according to Holbrook, includes whether or not other parties were involved in the case, or if any other parties will face charges.
