GAINESVILLE - Two dozen volunteers from St. Paul United Methodist Church on Washington Street worked recently on a Habitat for Humanity house.
The house is located Sasser Road near Flowery Branch. The team built the front porch, with rails and balusters, second floor rear deck with rails and stairs, added soffit, and completed the upper roof area.
According to Mission Team Leader Robert Clayton, this was a service opportunity for many people in the church who normally cannot travel out of country or out of state for typical mission trips conducted by the church.
Clayton called the week “a great mission activity for St Paul,” and added, “The new family was so appreciative to have a safe and affordable home.
