The start of the 2015 high school football season is just three weeks away.
And today, the state's teams took one more giant step closer to real games, as they were allowed to don pands in practice for the first time, as "fall" practice got underway.
A handful of northeast Georgia squads even went so far as to get things underway at the very earliest minute allowed, opening their first full practice of 2015 at 12:01 a.m. We talked to a few of those squads participating in a sort of prep football "Midnight Madness" to get their view on this next, and very important, step on the road to 2015.
Just like the area's team's we are feverishly beginning our own preparations for the upcoming season, as we make ready for the return of Friday Game Night and the 2015 season preview. Look for it Aug. 17.
