By AccessWDUN staff

ATLANTA — The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) Gainesville Career Center is continuing to help Express Employment Professionals recruit up to 60 workers for the Milliken textile plant in New Holland.

The latest recruitment fair is planned Tuesday, July 21, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the career center located at 2756 Atlanta Highway near Chicopee. A similar event was held for the company last month.

The staffing company is recruiting warping, spinning, winding and slashing operators, along with creelers, packers and other warehouse workers. While these are temporary positions, they may lead to permanent employment with Milliken once certain requirements are met.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. While no previous manufacturing experience is necessary for the jobs, applicants must have a high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED).

Applicants should bring a copy of their resume, or work history, and dress appropriately to improve their chances for employment. Salaries begin at $11.41 an hour.

The company will conduct a background check and drug-screening test on selected applicants.

For more information about the jobs, or to apply online, visit the GDOL’s website www.gdol.ga.gov, click On-Line Services, then Job Search and enter job order number 8309983.
