GAINESVILLE — The Pan American games will be held in Toronto starting Friday and continuing through July 26.
More than 6,000 athletes from 41 countries will be competing in 48 different sports. Several paddlers from the Lanier Canoe Kayak Club (LCKC) have been named to participate in the Flatwater sprint competition. They are: Tim Hornsby, Chris Miller and Stanton Collins. Hornsby, a 2012 Olympian, will compete in the Men’s K1 200 meter event, and Miller and Collins will compete in the Men’s K2 1000 meter event.
LCKC Coach Claudiu Ciur will be the USA Coach for the flatwater sprint competition.
