4 Ga. men sentenced in steroid distribution scheme

By Associated Press

ATLANTA (AP) Federal prosecutors say four men have been sentenced in a steroid distribution scheme involving raw materials imported from China.

Authorities say 41-year-old Brandon Franklin of Canton and 30-year-old Jay Reger of Woodstock were sentenced to two years in prison. Officials say 25-year-old Andrew Chrismer of Atlanta was sentenced to a year in prison, and 25-year-old Austin Shirley of Acworth was sentenced to two years of probation.

Prosecutors say Franklin and Reger produced and sold steroids online under the name Performance Formulations. Prosecutors say Franklin managed the group's website, Reger mixed materials and Shirley and Chrismer filled orders.

Officials say Franklin used profits to fund a luxurious lifestyle.
