GAINESVILLE — The Fall 2015 Session of The Wisdom Project, VISION 2030 Senior Leadership Program, kicks off on August 13 and includes eight programs, concluding on November 20. The program is a partnership of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce and Brenau University’s Center for Lifetime Study. Through a hands-on service project and interaction with like-minded individuals from throughout the community, Wisdom Project participants experience a dynamic, multi-faceted view of Gainesville and Hall County, explore local issues and opportunities, and engage with community leaders.
Wisdom Project participants should be adults age 55 and older who have volunteer or leadership experience. The program enlists participants' skills to better understand our community and tap into the wisdom of our residents. Graduates of the program may serve on the Wisdom Keepers Council, an advisory group for subsequent programs and advocacy projects. The program fee is $175 per person, including materials and lunches.

About VISION 2030
VISION 2030 is a community project sponsored by the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce. In 2005, the project began as a catalyst to provide a common vision for what Gainesville and Hall County would look like in the year 2030. Over many meetings with hundreds of diverse citizens, 4,000 ideas, images and recommendations were recorded. The common goal was to have a stronger workforce, exceptional quality of life, and a thriving economy. From that, the Big Ideas were drafted as a strategic way to accomplish the goals or common vision. www.vision2030.org
