GAINESVILLE — Three former North Hall High baseball players recently signed to play baseball at the collegiate level.
Corbin Lewallen has signed with West Georgia College. Lewallen, a left-hander, led the Trojans on the mound the past two seasons and played first base.
Lincoln Hewett, also left-handed, signed to play at Gordon State College. Hewett paced North Hall offensively and played left field.
Micah Strickland signed to play at Darton State College in Albany. Strickland played center field for North Hall.
All three were instrumental in leading North Hall to perhaps its best three-year stretch in program history. All played roles in the Trojans' run to the Class AAA state championship series in 2013 and then lead them to an unexpected run into the Elite 8 this past season as seniors.
