Video: Truex, Jr. breaks back into victory lane with Pocono win

After a series of just misses, Martin Truex, Jr. finally broke back into victory lane in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pa.

Truex led 97 of the race's 160 laps en route to snapping a 69 race winless streak.  Truex took Furniture Row racing to their second ever victory, their first coming back in 2011 with Regan Smith in the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.

Truex's win was a popular one among his fellow competitors and with fans.  Truex scored the victory after losing his grandmother earlier in the week.

The win didn't come easy, as Truex had to hold off defending Sprint Cup Champion Kevin Harvick to the win, while six time series champ Jimmie Johnson finished in third.  Daytona 500 winner Joey Logano finished in fourth, with Kurt Busch in fifth.

After the race, we heard from Truex, who talked about the win and about what it took to get there.  We also heard from crew chief Cole Pearn, along with second place finisher Harvick and third place finisher Johnson.

Up next, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series travel to Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Mich.  WDUN will have live MRN Radio coverage of the entire NASCAR race weekend.
