GPD seek help in finding robbery suspect

GAINESVILLE — The Gainesville Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect.

He is wanted in connection with the robbery and assault of a woman May 24 around 11:00 p.m. outside a convenience store in the 2300 block of Browns Bridge Road.

He is described as, a 23-25 year old, black male, approximately 5’5” tall, weighing about 160 pounds and having long, thinly-braided hair, reaching his elbows and long eyebrows. During the time of the robbery he was wearing large white stone earrings.

The suspect had an accomplice who had his face covered. He is described as, a black male, 21-23 years of age, approximately 5’3” tall, also weighing about 160 lbs.

Police say the pair assaulted the victim, robbed her of cash, and then fled the area on foot.
