Denny Hamlin was the brightest star on the track during Saturday night's Sprint All-Star race.
Hamlin led the field to green on the final segment of the special, non-points event at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, then held off arguably the most dominating driver of the past two years, Kevin Harvick, to pick up his first All-Star win.
It also marked the first All-Star win for Joe Gibbs Racing, and, maybe even more of note, the first for Toyota.
Before we hit the track for this weekend's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte, we take one more look back at the All-Star weekend.
Following the race, we heard from winner Hamlin about what he had to do to score the victory. We also hear from winning car owner Joe Gibbs, along with second place finisher Harvick and Hamlin's teammate, Kyle Busch, who finished sixth in his first race back since being injured at Daytona in February.
The night before, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series took to the 1.5 mile Charlotte Motor Speedway, and it looked like Erik Jones was en route to the win. But a late caution gave NASCAR Sprint Cup Series veteran Kasey Kahne the chance to challenge in his JR Motorsports Chevy. The duo raced side-by-side for the final laps, with Kahne nipping Jones by mere inches at the line for the win.
Afterwards, we heard from Kahne about the victory, while Jones discussed the frustration of another near-miss finish.
This weekend, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series do battle at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. WDUN will have live PRN Radio coverage of the complete race weekend, including coverage of Sunday's 99th running of the Indianapolis 500 from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
