Kyle Plott made the long drive from Marietta, Ga. to Williamston, S.C. pay off Friday night.
Plott powered his way to the front of the first Late Model Stock feature at Anderson Motor Speedway, and then held off wily veteran R.A. Brown to score his first victory at the venerable Upstate speedway.
Trey Gibson, who has been the area’s hot shoe with several wins up the road at Greenville Pickens Speedway, finished in third, with Justin Sorrow in fourth and Kenneth Headen in fifth.
In the second Late Model stock feature, Brown bettered his finishing position by one spot, as he scored the victory over Gibson. Sorrow finished third, with Plott in fourth and Headen in fifth.
In other action, Will Ragsdale held off Shon Gibson to score the BM Modified feature victory. Austin Northcutt finished in third, followed by Jason McDowell in fourth and Brandon Segars in fifth.
David Darnell topped the Mini Stock field to pick up the feature win. Mark Timmerman finished second, with Chad Campbell third, Avery Burgess fourth and Ben Kay in fifth.
In the Renegade feature, Chris Whitifield led the field across the finish line for the victory, with Shane Brown following in second, Shawn Campbell in third, Billy Brown in fourth and Jonathan Renegades in fifth.
Rick Kelley took top honors in the Super Stock feature, with Joe Wilder, Michael Mote, Ted Somero and Shaun Mize in fifth.
Stevie Johns was first to the checkered flag in the US Legends feature. Ryan Millington was second, with Justin Ashely third, Randy Gunton fourth and Joe Ryan Osborne fifth.
Don Tavernia held off a deep field of Front Wheel Drive competitors to score the victory. Scott Parker finished second, with Joey Kelly third, Michael Posey fourth and Travis Shelton in fifth.
