With the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series tours getting ready to do battle on the high banked, high speed half-mile Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend, it’s time to take one last look back at the April stop in the Lone Star State.
Jimmie Johnson made the most of a three-wide pass late in the going to take the lead, and went on to hold off Kevin Harvick and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. to score his second win of the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Saturday night at Texas Motor Speedway. Afterwards, the top three finishers talked about their race, along with Johnson’s crew chief, Chad Knaus.
Friday night at Texas was all about the NASCAR Xfinity Series, as short track ace Erik Jones showed he knows his way around the big tracks. Jones piloted his Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota to the win over Brad Keselowski, his first series victory. Jones spoke afterwards about scoring the victory, along with car owner Joe Gibbs. We also hear from Keselowski and sixth place finisher Darrell Wallace, Jr.
The NASCAR Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series now moves to Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, TN for this weekend’s action. WDUN will have live PRN Racing coverage of the full race weekend.
