A day before the airing of a cable television piece making the claim, the Hall County Sheriff's Office confirmed to AccessWDUN a detail in the Kelly Nash case Saturday morning.
The show claimed that a gunshot wound was found on Nash's body; Captain Sean McCusker confirmed the detail.
McCusker says the sheriff's office continues to await a medical examiner's report for the cause of death.
Nash, 25, went missing January 5, 2015, the Buford man's body was found in Lake Lanier several weeks later. He shared a home with his girlfriend at the time of his disappearance and death.
