NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville in Nashville, Tenn. kicked off their 58th season of racing Saturday night, as Willie Allen out dueled two time Daytona 500 winner Sterling Marlin to score the win in the Big Machine Records Pro Late Model Challenge Series.
Marlin set the early pace as the field included three NASCAR stars who return to their home track after stellar careers, including Allen and Jeff Green. Dillon Oliver made early noise, pacing the field for seven laps. Allen eased past Marlin with 20 laps remaining and led the rest of the night for his 18th career win at Nashville, surpassing Charley Binkley for the 16th spot on the all-time win list.
