GAINESVILLE -- The Gainesville boys lacrosse team matched its highest-ever win total on Thursday courtesy a 9-1 win over Meadowcreek at City Park.
And they didn’t even get to play a full contest.
The Red Elephants (5-6-1) did their damage in just three quarters of work before the game was halted due to inclement weather.
Gainesville led 3-1 at halftime but blew the contest open with six goals in the third quarter.
John Wagner and Bill Hood combined to torch the Mustangs, as Wagner struck for five scores, while Hood added four goals
