Girls tennis: Lady Trojans slam Stephens Co.

GAINESVILLE -- The North Hall girls tennis team slammed Stephens County 5-0 Monday in Region 8-AAAA action on Senior Night.

Natalie Oxley, Kelsey McCray (who will play for Berry College in the fall), Tricia Dial, Hannah Gibson, Kaitlyn Smith, and MaryClare Patterson all had solid matches.

In singles, Oxley beat Sarah Whitworth 6-3, 6-0; McCray whipped Sydney Caudell 6-0, 6-0; and Karleigh Dills defeated Katie Akridge 6-1, 6-2. In doubles, Gibson and Smith whipped Kasey Crunkleton and Felicity Pelles 6-0, 6-1 and Dial and Patterson beat Tiffany Vu and Elizabeth Dunavan 6-0, 6-0.

The Lady Trojans wil play host to Madison County Tuesday in their final home match of the season.
