GAINESVILLE - The Harris Products Group recently announced a donation of $25,000 to Challenged Child and Friends, the Gainesville organization that assists families of children with disabilities through inclusive education, therapies, awareness programs and other services.

The company also made a $25,000 donation to a similar charity, Abilities First, near its Mason, Ohio, headquarters.

"We proudly support Abilities First and Challenged Child and Friends because we understand how important it is for non-profits to have reliable corporate partners to support their programs," said David J. Nangle, president of the Harris Products Group. "We believe in consolidating our contributions to a critical cause so that we can have a real impact on organizations. We continue this long tradition of giving to support deserving charities in our local communities."

"The Harris Products Group has been an incredible neighbor for us," said Amy Gates, Executive Director of Challenged Child. "The company's support is instrumental in making sure we're able to offer services to families with special needs in our community. CCAF believes in never turning away a child for services due to the family's inability to pay, therefore assistance to families is one of our largest expenses each year. So, we greatly appreciate everything Harris does for us and for our families."
