GAINESVILLE - Six students from Chestnut Mountain Creative School of Inquiry (CMCSI) competed in the Future Problem Solving Program State Competition this past weekend in Athens.
The Future Problem Solving Program is an international competition aimed at engaging students to think critically as they find and solve problems within a futuristic scenario.
Of the students involved from CMCSI, four worked together as a part of the team competition, while two others competed individually to solve challenges associated with Human Enhancement.
The team competitors - Sarah Johnson, Cason Moore, Krysta Reed, and Ellie Smith - placed fourth in the state competition. The two individual competitors were Emma Ingrassia and Mackenzie Hulsey. This was the first year of participation for all six students.
