Girls tennis: Johnson too much for Stephens Co.

The Johnson girls tennis team defeated Stephens County 4-1 on Thursday in a Region 8-AAAA match.

The Lady Knights were led by Anslie Bass with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles. Aly Groover also battled to a three-set, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles.

Kaitlin Houston/Jessica Wucinski posted a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles, while Sloane Sengson/Lydia Connally won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
