MT. AIRY - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has now released the names of two men who were shot and killed in Mt. Airy in eastern Habersham County Wednesday afternoon.
Agents released a press statement saying local authorities responded to a call at 377 Key Road just after 1 p.m. They found Ronald Ramey, 68, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Ramey was taken to Habersham Medical Center for treatment, but he later died from his injuries.
Meanwhile, Hershel Key, 77, was found dead at his home at 374 Key Road. Key also had been shot.
Autopsies have been scheduled for Thursday on the bodies of both men; those autopsies will be conducted at the GBI Crime Lab in Decatur.
At this point, investigators have not released any information about the circumstances surrounding the shootings.
