GAINESVILLE - Portions of Shirley Road in north Hall County will be closed off and on for the next 24 to 48 hours while a film crew shoots some footage in the area.
Stacey Dickson with the Lake Lanier Convention and Visitors Bureau confirmed Wednesday that production crews are taking exterior shots of a house on Shirley Road; she said no actors are expected on site.
"There's really nothing to see but some equipment trucks and a house. There is no public access to this set as it is on private property," said Dickson via email.
Dickson said part of the draw for the area is the fact that production companies can come and go without being disturbed, so she is encouraging people to stay away.
"This allows them to complete their work in a timely manner and stay on budget for their project. When the public tries to access a set, disruptions can occur causing delays which could prevent future projects from selecting our area."
Dickson did not reveal the name of the movie under production.
