GAINESVILLE -- North Hall exploded for 10 runs in the fourth inning to take a 12-2, five-inning win over Monroe Area Monday night.
The Trojans (9-2, 4-1 Region 8-AAAA) overcame three errors and an early deficit to get the victory.
Monroe Area opened the game with two runs in the bottom of the first. North Hall answered with two runs in the third and then put the game away in the fourth.
North Hall pounded out 11 hits, led by three hits from Fowler Brooks. Taber Mongero had two hits and Micah Strickland, Corbin Lewallen, Drew Atha, Aaron Miles, Drew Coker, and matthew Cox each had one hit for the Trojans.
Strickland had a two-run home run and Lewallen , Miles, and Cox each had two RBI for North Hall.
Lewallen earned the win for the Trojans going five innings allowing just hits and walking two and no earned runs.
