CUMMING - The Forsyth County Animal Shelter is hosting a Spring Fling adoption event Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The festival is slated to feature a variety of entertainment and activities including music, free food, dog agility demonstrations, door prizes and many dogs, cats, puppies and kittens available for adoption.
Those adopting a pet at the Spring Fling adoption event will receive a free tote bag filled with items for their new pet.
"We are excited to welcome the community to the animal shelter and for residents to
meet the wonderful animals looking for their forever home," Animal Shelter Manager
Jeanie Curphy said. "This is the first adoption event we have held at the new shelter and we're looking forward to a great turnout."
Forsyth County opened its new animal shelter in August 2014. It is located just off of Georgia 400 at 4065 County Way.
