Pendergrass, Clarkesville men named to separate state boards

ATLANTA - Two men from northeast Georgia have been named to separate state boards by Gov. Nathan Deal.

Kerry Cook of Pendergrass has been named to a new term on the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Firefighters' Pension Fund

Cook currently serves as chief bailiff for Judge Gene Roberts in the Hall County State Court. He retired from the City of Decatur Fire Department after more than 29 years of experience serving as a firefighter. Cook is also a former chairman of the Hall County Republican Party.

Mike Pryor of Clarkesville is a new member of the State Rehabilitation Council.

Pryor is the director of Program Development for Goodwill Industries of North Georgia. He has previously served as president of the Georgia Rehabilitation Association.
