Boys soccer: Villafranco hat trick leads War Eagles past Stephens Co.

TOCCOA -- Edwin Villafranco recorded a hat trick to lead the Chestatee boys soccer team to a 6-2 Area 8-AAAA win over Stephens County Tuesday night.

Juan Mejia, Austin Manzo, and Junior Nogueda each scored one goal for the War Eagles (4-0, 2-0 Area 8-AAAA) and Edwin Villafranco (3 goals). Nogueda and Manzo also had one assist each for Chestatee.

Goalkeepers Miguel Calderon and Fernando Ortiz each allowed one goal for the War Eagles. Calderon recorded one save.

Chestatee next will play host to Madison County on Friday.
