Early voting ends Friday

GAINESVILLE - Early voting ends Friday in Georgia for the March 17 special elections, including a number of referendums in northeast Georgia.

In Hall County, voting is taking place at the county Government Center in the Elections and Voter Registration Office. The office is open from 8:00-5:00, Monday-Friday. A sample ballot and other information about Hall County voting are available on line by clicking on the second link below.

Hall County voters are deciding the fate of an extension of the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST). Other referendums being held in northeast Georgia include one on extension of the education sales tax in White County and an education sales tax in Dawson County. In addition, voters in Buford are being asked to approve a $37.9 million school bond issue.
