Soccer: Bell, Wagner lead Lady Lions past West Hall

GAINESVILLE -- The Lakeview Academy girls knocked off West Hall 5-2 Friday night in girls soccer action.

Bree Bell scored two goals, one in each half, to pace the Lady Lions (3-1).

Lakeview junmped out to a 3-0 in the first half. Carmen Wagner scored in the first two minutes off a pass from Ellie Gravitt and then Bell notched her first goal of the game for a 3-0 lead. Jackie Allen made it 3-0 Lady Lions before West Hall scored late in the half to cut the lead to 3-1 by halftime.

The Lady Spartans trimmed the lead to 3-2 early in the second half on apenalty kick goal but Bell scored her second goal off a from Wagner to push the lead back to two goals. Meredith Tucker scored to make it 5-2 late in the game to put it out of reach.

Amber Trip and Sarah Hutchinson led a solid defensive effort for Lakeview and Ansley Rochester had six saves in goal for the Lady Lions.
