SUWANEE -- Jonathan Gettys put together a dominant performance on the mound on Friday, allowing just three hits and striking out five batters, to help Gainesville push past North Gwinnett 3-1 in Suwanee.
Gets (2-0) tossed a complete game and also came up big at the plate with two doubles.
Caleb Whitenton also drove in a run for the Red Elephants (4-0), as did Banks Griffith. Anthony Carrera, Michael Curry and Fedrick Cardona also produced hits in the win.
Gainesville will play host to Grayson at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday at Ivey-Watson Field.
