2nd Ga. execution postponed

By The Associated Press
ATLANTA (AP) -- A second Georgia execution, this one scheduled next week, was postponed Tuesday by the state Department of Corrections.

Brian Keith Terrell was scheduled to die by lethal injection March 10 for beating and shooting death of 70-year-old John Watson of Covington in June 1992.

Georgia corrections officials on Monday postponed the execution of Kelly Renee Gissendaner at the last minute because of concerns about the lethal injection drug, which appeared cloudy.

Corrections officials on Tuesday postponed Terrell's execution pending an analysis of the drug. Gissendaner's execution remains on hold for the same reason.
