Wintry weather possible in parts of north Georgia this week

By The Associated Press
ATLANTA (AP) -- Another round of wintry weather could hit parts of north Georgia this week.

Forecasters say rain possibly mixed with light sleet or freezing rain will be possible late Wednesday night into Thursday in an area that includes Dalton, Trenton, Blairsville and Dahlonega.

Forecasters say any accumulation should be light - a trace to a tenth of an inch.

Expected morning lows on Thursday in the affected area include 29 at Trenton, 31 in Dalton, 35 at Blairsville and 37 in Dahlonega.

The best chance of this wintry mix is in the far northwestern corner of the state, according to the National Weather Service.
