BUFORD - Even though the summer season is a few months away, officials at Lake Lanier Islands Resort are ready to begin seasonal hiring.

Resort officials and the Georgia Department of Labor's Gainesville Career Center are hosting two job fairs at the resort in Buford, one on Saturday, February 21 and the other on Saturday, February 28.

The recruitment for February 21 will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The company will recruit personnel to work at its beach, campgrounds and Lanierworld, a water park. Those positions include lifeguards, water quality controllers and other workers.

All of the positions require the employee to be available to work on weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays.

A similar recruitment for other positions is planned for February 28.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old on the day of the recruitment. While some on-the-job experience is preferred, the company will train the workers, so experience is not required.

Salaries will depend on the position and will be discussed with the applicant during the interview with the employer.

Job seekers may also apply online at www.lakelanierislands.com/careers.
