GAINESVILLE - Kristi Crumpton, a media specialist at Mt. Vernon Exploratory School, is one of 20 national winners of gardening grants from kidsgardening.org. <br />

The website says there were more than 1,000 applications for teh grants.<br />

Each of the winning programs will receive a $500 gift certificate to the kidsgardening.org Gardening With Kids Store, a tool package from Ames, plant starts from Bonnie Plants, a Micro-Greens Grow Box from windowbox.com, and a seed donation. Select programs will receive a raised bed from New England Arbors. <br />
