Lady Nighthawks take season sweep over Young Harris

DAHLONEGA -- The North Georgia women's basketball team used a solid second half effort to take down Young Harris (9-11, 6-7 Peach Belt), 59-56, Wednesday evening at Memorial Hall. The win advances the Nighthawks to 18-4 on the year and 10-3 in PBC action.<br /> <br /> After a back-and-forth first half, Young Harris took a 29-25 lead into the break. UNG would outscore the Mountain Lions by seven in the second half to take the three-point victory.<br /> <br /> While North Georgia struggled at times to get shots off, the Nighthawks shot 42 percent from the field on the night when they did.<br /> <br /> Stephanie Huffman led the game in scoring with 22 points and also posted a game-high eight rebounds. Rachel Harrell and Peyton Robertson each scored 14 for YHC.<br /> <br /> The Nighthawks return to action on Saturday hosting Montevallo. Tipoff for the UNG Athletics Hall Of Fame Day matchup is set for 1:30 p.m.
