Girls basketball: Dawson Co. one win from perfect regular season

BLUE RIDGE -- Class AAA No. 1 Dawson County held Fannin County to single-digit scoring in every quarter en route to a 65-26 victory in Region 7-AAA action Tuesday night.<br /> <br /> The Lady Tigers (24-0, 11-0 Region 7-AAA) will try to complete the undefeated regular season playing host to West Hall on Friday in their season finale.<br /> <br /> Dawson County led 16-7 after the first quarter but outscored the Lady Rebels (11-13, 3-8) 42-15 in the second and third quarters to blow the game open. The Lady Tigers held Fannin County to just four points in the fourth quarter.<br /> <br /> Ashley Parker led Dawson County with 15 points. Karlie Bearden had another double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Sheyenne Seabolt and Katelynn Simpson each had nine points for the Lady Tigers.<br /> <br /> Fannin County will travel to Banks County on Friday in both teams' regular season finale.
