MONROE — Dawson County held Prince Avenue scoreless in the third quarter to pull away for a 53-28 victory in the semifinals of the Bulldog Classic at George Walton Academy Tuesday.
The win moved into Wednesday's final aginst the winner of the other semifinal between host George Walton Academy and Lakeside.
The Lady Tigers (12-0) led just 17-11 after the first quarter but opened up a 35-20 lead at halftime. They outscored the Lady Wolverines 14-0 in the third quarter to blow the game open.
Haley Burgess led all scorers with 15 points to pace Dawson County. Kaylee Sticker and Peytan Porter each had 10 points and Karlie Bearden scored nine for the Lady Tigers.
