HOMER — Banks County rebounded from its first loss of the season with a 57-35 win over Chestatee Saturday in girls basketball action.
The Lady Leopards (4-1) outscored Chestatee 40-17 in the second and third quarters to blow open an 11-10 lead after the first quarter.
It was third straight loss for the Lady War Eagles (3-3).
Dawndria Bell led Chestatee with 10 points. Genesis Reyes added seven points and Brooklyn Popham and Lindsey Caudell had six points each for the Lady War Eagles.
Banks County next will play host to West Hall on Tuesday in both teams' Region 7-AAA openers.
Chestatee next will travel to Forsyth Central on Friday.
