FLOWERY BRANCH — Flowery Branch remained unbeaten on the season using a huge second quarter to pull away for a 76-33 win over Heritage,Conyers Friday night in Region 8-AAAAA girls action.
The Lady Falcons (5-0, 2-0 8-AAAAA) led just 18-13 after the first quarter but outscored the Lady Patriots (5-2, 1-2) 24-7 in the second quarter to take a 42-20 lead into halftime. Flowery Branch followed that with a 21-7 third quarter put the game out of reach.
The Lady Falcons got tremendous balanced scoring. Maddie Hetzel led Flowery Branch with 16 points. Lexie Sengkhammee, Taniah Worth, Breanna Locke, Julianna Sutton each finished with 10 points for the Lady Falcons.
Flowery Branch next will travel to Salem on Tuesday in a Region 8-AAAAA contest.
