GAINESVILLE - For the first time in its history, Northeast Georgia Health System http://www.nghs.com has received an “A” credit rating from Standard and Poor’s.
It has received “A” credit ratings from other credit analysts (such as Fitch Ratings) in the past but never from Standard and Poor's.
“We are very pleased to receive this “A” credit rating from Standard & Poor’s which validates Northeast Georgia Health System’s strong financial position and market strength," said NGHS President AND CEO Carol Burrell. "In this uncertain healthcare landscape, this is reassurance for our community of our continued ability to provide high quality health care services close to home and be the economic engine that provides more than $1 billion to our local and state economies. Providing nationally ranked care combined with top rated financial stability enables NGHS to continue to make investments in our healthcare services as we work to improve the health of our community in all we do.”
