GAINESVILLE - Georgia State Patrol Post 6 in Gainesville is seeking the public's help identifying a hit-and-run suspect.
Cpl. D. Vanscoten says 18-year-old Coy Maffett was struck while riding his bicycle on Georgia Highway 51 in Banks County at 6:05 p.m. Thursday.
Maffett was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle in the area of Brewer Road.
The vehicle fled the scene after striking the cyclist.
There were some parts left at the scene and Trooper 1st Class J. Folendore is investigating.
Maffett was airlifted to Northeast Georgia Medical Center and is in stable condition with broken bones.
