GAINESVILLE - To mark the opening of its new store in Gainesville, Academy Sports + Outddoors donated a private shopping spree to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County Thursday afternoon.
Thirty youngsters from the clubs were allowed to purchase anything they wanted with a free $100 gift card.
The 62,000-square-foot store, located on Dawsonville Highway, opens to the public Friday. It will have about 125 employees.
