GAINESVILLE - On Friday, November 13th, the Hall County Library will host the genealogy program “Sitting Up with the Dead”. Do you dream of being locked in the library? Do you want to research genealogy to your hearts content? On Friday, November 13, you can fulfill your dream by “Siting Up with the Dead” until midnight at the downtown library located at 127 Main St.
The Sybil Wood McRay Genealogy & Local History Collection will be open regular hours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. At 4:00 p.m. the doors will close to the public and researchers attending Sitting Up With the Dead will invade the second floor of the library. If you plan to arrive after 4:00 p.m. please make arrangements ahead of time.
This event is for advanced genealogists, and those who have some experience researching their family tree. You will be able to make copies of our resources, and staff will be on hand to assist you during the event.
