Law enforcement searches for hit-and-run driver in Hall Co. Halloween incident

GAINESVILLE — Two people, including a small child, sustained minor injuries when they were struck by a vehicle during trick-or-treating Saturday night in northwest Hall County.

The Georgia State Patrol said a vehicle was driving on Ledan Road near the entrance to The Chimneys subdivision in northwest Hall County when it hit a parked car and an adult female. Troopers said the woman, who was carrying the child, was knocked to the ground. The child was injured as a result of the fall. 
 
The incident happened around 8:40 p.m., according to the GSP accident report.
 
The vehicle left the scene and as of Monday morning, law enforcement was still trying to track down the hit-and-run driver.
