ATHENS — League contests at home against Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Auburn -- as well as a season-opening matchup against North Carolina in the annual Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta -- highlight the 2016 University of Georgia football schedule, released Thursday by the Southeastern Conference.
Georgia’s away game schedule includes trips to Missouri, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Kentucky, as well as its annual neutral-field matchup with Florida in Jacksonville. The Rebels will replace Alabama as Georgia's rotating Western Division opponent, marking Georgia's first trip to Oxford since 2011.
The Bulldogs will be making the program's second appearance in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game. Georgia faced Boise State in the 2011 matchup at the Georgia Dome.
Georgia will also play host to non-conference foes Louisiana-Lafayette and Georgia Tech on successive Saturdays in November.
The SEC office announced schedules for all 14 league teams Thursday.
